Alicia Andry PT, NPTAlicia graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2004 with a Bachelor’s in Science and in 2006 with a Master’s in Physical Therapy. Alicia has worked in a variety of settings including adult inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, day rehab and pediatric outpatient. Alicia’s pediatric outpatient experience includes treatment of many conditions such as cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, idiopathic toe walking, orthopedic conditions, torticollis, motor delay, hypotonia and various genetic disorders. Through her clinical experience, Alicia has developed a high interest in neurology and neurological-based disorders. Alicia has attended continuing education courses including NDT, torticollis, Kinesio-Taping and gait analysis.
Grace McGarrity MS OTR/LGrace graduated from the direct admission program of Saint Louis University in 2011 with a Bachelor's in Occupational Science, and in 2012 with a Master of Occupational Therapy. Her education program focused on teaching a strong foundation in the theories and framework of occupational therapy. Her experience working in pediatric outpatient clinics has provided her with the opportunity to advance her knowledge and treatment of sensory processing disorders, developmental delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder, hypotonia, and neurological-based disorders. Her intervention specialties include use of sensory-based equipment and activities, Kinesio taping techniques, and behavior modification, along with providing client-centered home programming.
Scott Busteed MA, CCC-SLP
Scott is an American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)-certified clinician who received his B.S. and M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 2010 and 2013, respectively. An interim gap year provided Scott an introduction to pediatrics while he served as an instructional assistant in an early childhood classroom for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in Dublin, Ireland. He has worked in both public schools and private pediatric practice and possesses a variety of clinical interests and experience including apraxia of speech, articulation disorders, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), ASD, behavior management, culturally- and linguistically-diverse learners, language delay, and social/pragmatic language. Scott is trained in the Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol and the SOS Approach to Feeding, and has attended other specialized continuing education options including the Social Thinking Program and AAC Assessment. Amal Akbik MA CCC -SLPAmal is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and hold the Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). In addition, I was a credentialed early intervention provider for the birth-three population in Indiana. Since first deciding on pursuing a career as an SLP, my primary focus has been working with young children and their families, and I have provided services in clinic, home, daycare, and school settings. I have experience evaluating and treating pediatric clients with language delay, language disorders, apraxia of speech, fluency disorders, pragmatic disorders, phonological disorders, articulation disorders, and feeding disorders. I am fluent in Arabic and proficient in American Sign Language.
